Expérience positive: I went in to get a SIM card for Europe. The salesman sold me a Bouygues Telecom card and assured me it would work in the Netherlands and other countries I am going to. Well, I am in the Netherlands and it DOES NOT work. I guess I will see if it works in Spain and Portugal, or if I wasted 40 euros on a month plan. Beware!!

Me cobraron un plan para Francia e Italia, al momento de llegar a Italia dejó de funcionar completamente. Hable con Soporte y NO me dieron ninguna solución, no lo pude usar. Me dejaron totalmente incomunicada, sin opciones y nisiquiera me quieren devolver el dinero, pretenden que tome crédito para un próximo viaje... horrible.

Expérience fantastique: 10/10 would recommend. Worked perfectly while I was in Paris and even on my mini south of France tour (worked in Monaco and Italy too). The customer service at the store was perfect! I can’t remember the store reps name but he was friendly and helpful.

Expérience fantastique: Ordered TravelWifi's portable hot spot for a trip to Canada from Ireland. Delivery / posting back was fine, quick, easy and no hassle. During our stay we had a couple of times where the device wouldn't connect but support was very good - very quick response when we contacted the support team (emailed from hotel wifi etc. before we got on the road), each time they reset the connection remotely without delay and our internet access was restored. Definitely 5* for very responsive and helpful support!

Expérience fantastique: As a low tech tourist from Canada, I was having difficulty getting my Airalo esim to work. In desperation I was ready to just chuck it and buy a new SIM card. Walked into this store and Philippe was so patient and helpful to trouble shoot for me and got the Airalo working finally. (In the end it wasn’t 100% a ME problem) Kudos to Great Customer Service above and beyond! Much appreciated.

I placed my order weeks before departure, and despite this they didn't dispatch it until the very last minute - so it wouldn't arrive here in time before my date of departure. I contacted them and let them know that I had to cancel the order since it was pointless now with them shipping it so late, which they did, however I haven't received a refund until now. I have a huge mess now with my trip since I relied on their WiFi being there on time, and now I have to figure out how to make this trip without it (or whether I have to cancel). A lot of extra work and extra costs. And as I said, I am not even getting my money back. An absolute nightmare. Stay clear.

On m’a mis en route l’appareil et expliqué son fonctionnement de manière détaillée. L’accueil a de plus été très sympathique et professionnel à la fois. Depuis ma visite, j’ai eu l’occasion d’utiliser mon appareil à la fois en France et ailleurs en Europe et la couverture ainsi que la qualité / rapidité de la connexion sont excellentes! Expérience négative: I had a horrible experience with TravelWifi - having rented previously when they were TEP with no issues, I wasn’t expecting such a poor experience. (I have rented from Hippo in other countries and highly endorse them as an alternative… I wish they covered South Africa.) I “used” 2 GB of Wifi with one of those in an hour sending two emails and loading one website on my first day and was throttled to 256KB on their unlimited plan, which was not even enough to operate Google maps or Uber. I reached out immediately, followed all their instructions to try to limit data (which I had already done). Jose promised me (in writing!) that I would be refunded the days that did not work as expected. After two more days of the exact same experience, I shut it off and paid through my wireless carrier (who has recorded, with a LOT more usage <1GB per day). Now, they have claimed they will refund the days where I didn’t use the device but refuse to refund the 3 days it worked for an hour or two because I “used” the data. They continue to blame me for their product not working. Even when pointed to Jose’s email, they continue to state that I “used the data so I have to pay for it.” So, buyer beware. If it works, it’s fine, but it’s your fault if you get a faulty device and immediately report it to them. (I guess I am not allowed by Google to post the screen shots of the interaction so I have removed those.)

Expérience fantastique: I love Travel Wifi! My friend and I just moved to Paris for three months and needed wifi for our place. We weren’t sure what exactly we were looking for and all other wifi//hotspot services seemed to be online and had very confusing delivery systems. Leah was incredibly helpful not only did she explain all of our options but gave us excellent recommendations especially for our budget since we are students. All the staff were super friendly too. Travel Wifi offers sim cards and portable wifi as well as other fun tech goods! Definitely a helpful spot for anyone visiting short or long term. Thank you!!!!!

Expérience négative: I was very disappointed to discover that in almost all the smaller cities in England (Durham, York, Oxford, Cambridge) the Wifi was very unreliable - meaning that it didn't work half the time, and did work the other half of the time. and YES, before you say it, I did try (very many times) the method of rebooting the device with several minutes left off in between. I also used the URL starting with 192.. to 'reconnect' and it never did anything. The only place this hotspot is about 75% reliable is in huge cities (which is easy and was expected of course) like London and Liverpool. Very disappointed. Couldn't depend on this thing at all.

Expérience fantastique: I am a frequent Paris visitor and decided to try the travel wifi system. While cafes and sometimes parks have free wifi it is highly unreliable. Travel Wifi was a joy to use. Reliable fast wifi whenever and wherever I was. The customer service was excellent. The two people in the shop I talked to were kind and efficient. Finally, I had to leave a few days early and came to return my wifi kit, they not only opened the door early to help me they arranged a refund for my early return. Highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: These were easily some of the most authentic and friendly people I met in Paris. Really cared about their product and making sure you walk out happy with all questions answered. Had a fantastic time, was actually helped by one of the co-founders of the company and he was one of the most humble owners I have ever met. Even made me coffee! The employees also care about helping as much as the owners, which I absolutely loved. Fantastic product with fantastic people. One thing to note, the device does lose connectivity if you are inside buildings sometimes which I can only assume is due to the coverage by their provider. Coverage is not quite as good as major mobile brands but still a great value device.

I had an issue with my pocket Wi-Fi and when I went back to the store about the issue, the agent on duty gave me a new device and upgraded my service. She was very apologetic about the issue. I highly recommend Travel Wi-Fi when visiting Paris. The Wi-Fi speed is amazing and worked wherever I went. The only downside is I have to return the device to the store location instead of at the airport where I rented the device.

You can rent out purchase their devices to stay connected through your own home country number via WhatsApp or any other IM app you regularly use. The team is really dedicated and provides a very superior customer service. I've only been to that store a couple of times after (due to Covid) I could no longer pick up the device upon arriving at the airport in Paris. I've been told that that particular option will soon be available again.

Expérience négative: My name is Jessica Lickus and I recently used this service. I'm waiting for a refund because it did not work for one of the days, and I paid for overnight shipping and it did not come overnight or on the day the representative told me it would based on our recorded phone call. I've been waiting a while for my refund, and then they emailed me that it would be a credit after they agreed to give me a refund. It seemed kind of shady.Then, they said they would give get back to me within 24-48 hours on June 19th, and now it is the 24th of June. I asked today and they are saying 5-10 business days. It takes two minutes to process a refund and up to 5 days for it to show up in your bank. I do not understand the dilemma. This is from like 2 weeks ago. Maybe they need to hire more employees?

Expérience fantastique: Just got back from a week in Paris. Picked up our Travel Wifi at CDG when we arrived. Very useful for my husband, myself and our teenage daughter. It also saved our behinds when the hotel we were staying at had their own internet issues. When we were about to get into our cab to head to the airport, we put the travel wifi kit in the postage paid envelope and put it into the mailbox across from our hotel. I would definitely rent one again!

They suck all the life out of your pocketbook and still don’t provide adequate data coverage. Travel WiFi is super easy to use and goes wherever you go! Easy to order, pick up and drop off! Expérience positive: J'ai utilisé 2 boîtiers (Europe et Monde) lors d'un voyage Italie -> Grèce, en passant par les Balkans. Certaines zones semblaient mal couvertes : c'était le cas quelques fois, mais d'autres fois il s'agissait de déconnexions intempestives du boîtier, qu'il a fallu ré-initialiser via un appel téléphonique (ce qui peut être un peu "désagréable" si on est en pays "roaming"). Lors du dernier appel, on m'a dit que les nouveaux boîtiers ne nécessiteraient plus cette manip. Bref, c'est pour cette raison que je ne mets que 4/5. Sinon, service très pro, très agréable, et arrangeant (date d'expédition de la box anticipée par exemple). Allez-y sans arrière-pensée, je recommande!
